BANGALORE PRIDE PARADE
|
This project was based on designing posters and screen printing t-shirts for the Bangalore Pride Parade. The Bangalore Pride Parade is a movement which works towards the upliftment of the LGBT community.
These images show the posters, the t-shirt screen print and then screen prints on paper. These posters were carried by the members of the parade during the event. |
BOOK DESIGN |
I share quite an intense relationship with food, not only the cooking bit but also indulging in eating. I designed a book in which I have described myself and qualities through the medium of food. Each spread describes the recipe of a certain dessert which has an inside connection with who I am.
I designed the book on Illustrator. All the food and kitchen utensil illustrations have been made on Illustrator too. |
CLAYMATION
|
This is a Claymation movie designed, constructed, shot and animated by Shreya Gupta, Diya Sharma and I.
The movie shows the journey of an eyeball in an amusement park. The set, the backdrop and all the rides have been made from scratch. Most of the rides have been made from waste. The form of the video is a stop motion. The frames shot have been compiled on after effects with a short conclusion animation too. |
ARE YOU WASTED?
|
This project is named as 'Are You Wasted?'. This was a research based project in which I went from home to home to enquire about whether people recycled their waste. It also covered the idea of re-use in which two different types of waste, when put together can form something completely new.
I also carried out workshops in which people from different backgrounds such as schools, homes and offices came together and created products out of waste. Using this research as my inspiration, I designed a line of products by using different kinds of waste. |
INTERACTIVE QUILT |
This quilt has been made by Ketaki Joshi, Shreya Gupta and I.
The quilt was designed to cater to teenage girls. The symbol that we used to describe these girl are the heels. The quilt is entirely hand stitched. The fabric heels are stitched on the base by applique and have been embellished. The back of the quilt has a zip pocket in the shape of lips. |
INSTALLATION DESIGN
|
This is an installation I designed and constructed at Joss, Kalaghoda, Mumbai, for the Aarna exhibition. I worked on the behalf of Advika Designs.
This exhibition catered to the need of women and was the perfect place for a shopaholic. The site of installation was the centre of the staircase which elongated from the third to the ground floor. I fastened pink, purple and white hangers to one another with silver chains. To these chains I attached the stuffed shopping bags of the exhibition stalls. These chains were hung from the top of the staircase and fell towards the ground at different levels. |
SOCIAL INTERACTION INSTALLATION
|
This project was designed and implemented by Ketaki Joshi and me. The idea of this project was to create an installation at K.R. Market, Bangalore. It involved social interaction with the people as well as observing the ways of the market.
Our project questioned their profession, their possession and whether they would sell their possessions for their possessions. We created a metal frame cube and tied it with chains. We asked people the above questions and tagged their answer with a lock to the chains. The locks were colour coded and with these answers we created a statistical graph of their responses. |
NARRATION OF SPACE AND LIGHT
|
A space and light installation, inspired from -
Brief Wondrous life of Oscar Wao(Junot Diaz) ‘Hers was the generation that would launch the Revolution, but which for the moment was turning blue for want of air. The generation reaching for consciousness in a society that lacked any. The generation that despite the consensus that declared changed impossible, “hankered” for change all the same.” |
